Chair Report - February 2020

ISSBA Chair, Graham Barton, offers a snapshot of the latest ISSBA news.

Graham BartonHello all, welcome to the ISSBA February newsletter.

Anglia Business Exhibition 2020 - takes place at Trinity Park on 13th May 2020 and bookings are coming in fast so don’t miss out! Why not consider a sponsor package if you really want to maximise your exposure at the largest and most established B2B exhibition in the area. Read our ABE article for some useful tips on maximising your ABE investment or visit www.angliabusinessexhibition.com.

Our January networking event was fantastic, thanks to all that attended and thank you to our sponsor, The New Wolsey Theatre. They treated us to a backstage tour which was fascinating! You can read a full review of the event here.

The next ISSBA event is Meet the Members Networking on 27th February at Pentahotel Ipswich. Everyone is welcome, you don’t need to be a member and our events are always very friendly. Find out more and book your place now!

Our Business Focus piece this month is titled ‘Social media policies and why your business needs one’. Thank you to Gotelee for their really useful article.

The February Member of the Month is Ipswich Borough Council. They tell us about their support for key business sectors in Ipswich.

Don’t forget our Recommend a Friend, it is great to see ISSBA members benefiting from this. Any current ISSBA member will get one month's free membership for each new member they recommend, plus the new member also gets one free month, so Win-Win! There are no limits to how many referrals each ISSBA member can make as long as you have a current, paid up membership, so if you bring in 12 new members, you'll get a whole year for free!

GoCardless is making the renewal process much easier for many of our members. If you haven’t signed up yet, either let us know on mail@issba.co.uk or keep an eye on your inbox for an authorisation request. GoCardless is a direct debit system fully protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee and means that you never need to worry about forgetting to renew again.  By signing up to this you will help your committee save valuable time in chasing renewals, so please, if you aren’t already signed up, please do!

Don’t forget that if you have any suggestions/comments or would like to be considered for a future Member of the Month feature or you would like to write a business focus piece, please get in touch on mail@issba.co.uk.
