Member of the Month - March 2020

Our March Member of the Month is MHA Larking Gowen, who want businesses in the Tourism Leisure and Hospitality sector to get involved in their business survey.

How taking part in our survey could help your business.

At MHA Larking Gowen, we’re committed to supporting the tourism sector in our region. As part of our commitment, every year, our tourism specialists produce the Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality Business Survey. This survey is the largest independent survey of its kind in East Anglia.

The data, which is collected from businesses in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, highlights views, trends and results across a range of issues, creating a useful benchmark. Gathering information in this way helps to provide representative and accurate data about your sector.

There really is something for everyone in our region. We’re blessed with rich history, attractive scenery, a wealth of family attractions, great accommodation and a diverse and stunning shoreline. The collapse of Thomas Cook and financial uncertainty in other carriers, combined with a greater call to go green, make a UK stay all the more appealing. We’re confident that by working together, businesses in the region can make the most of this and continue to develop East Anglia into a holiday destination of choice in the UK.

Did you know that the TripAdvisor 2020 Top 25 Emerging Destinations in the World, includes Ipswich, the only UK entry on the list?  The fact that travellers are looking with a view to visiting in the future, is another boost for the region. But tourism doesn’t just happen. Against a backdrop of rising costs, as well as increasing cultural, political and natural challenges, the sector is buzzing with investment, passion and energy.

Understanding how we are doing and sharing views will help business. We need you to fill out the survey and please mention it to others in the sector; encourage them to take part too!

We’ll be holding a celebratory results seminar and lunch, at Applewood Hall, on 28 April, where guests will be the first to get their hands on the published results brochure!

You can take part in the 2020 Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality Business Survey online, and find out more about the results seminar at
