Chair Report - March 2020

ISSBA Chair, Graham Barton, offers a snapshot of the latest ISSBA news.

Graham BartonHello all, welcome to the ISSBA March newsletter.

Anglia Business Exhibition 2020 - takes place at Trinity Park on 13th May 2020 and bookings are coming in fast so don’t miss out! Why not consider a sponsor package if you really want to maximise your exposure at the largest and most established B2B exhibition in the area. Read our ABE article to find out about our free Exhibitor Briefing Event or visit www.angliabusinessexhibition.com to book a stand.

Our ABE2020 Sponsor/Press Launch event was a great success and very enjoyable. Thank you to everyone that attended but especially to Cameron Ventures Group who sponsored the launch event and Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa for being such wonderful hosts and providing a delicious lunch.

February Meet the Members Networking Event was fantastic, thank you to our sponsor, Penta Hotel Ipswich. You can read a full review of the event here.

Our next event is Meet the Members Networking on 25th March at Ipswich County Library. Everyone is welcome, you don’t need to be a member and our events are always very friendly. Find out more and book your place now!

Roger Barcham has been involved with ABE for many years and has shared some really useful tips for planning your exhibition stand in this month’s Business Focus piece.

Our March Member of the Month is MHA Larking Gowen, who want businesses in the Tourism Leisure and Hospitality sector to get involved in their business survey.

Don’t forget our Recommend a Friend, it is great to see ISSBA members benefiting from this. Any current ISSBA member will get one month's free membership for each new member they recommend, plus the new member also gets one free month, so Win-Win! There are no limits to how many referrals each ISSBA member can make as long as you have a current, paid up membership, so if you bring in 12 new members, you'll get a whole year for free!

GoCardless is making the renewal process much easier for many of our members. If you haven’t signed up yet, either let us know on mail@issba.co.uk or keep an eye on your inbox for an authorisation request. GoCardless is a direct debit system fully protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee and means that you never need to worry about forgetting to renew again.  By signing up to this you will help your committee save valuable time in chasing renewals, so please, if you aren’t already signed up, please do!

Don’t forget that if you have any suggestions/comments or would like to be considered for a future Member of the Month feature or you would like to write a business focus piece, please get in touch on mail@issba.co.uk.
