Anglia Business Exhibition Update - July 2020

Read our plans for the Anglia Business Exhibition following the latest government updates

Anglia Business Exhibition Update - Coronavirus/COVID-19ABE

Following the government’s announcement on Friday 17th July that conference and exhibition venues are not permitted to open until 1st October 2020, we have been in discussion with Trinity Park about what this means for the Anglia Business Exhibition.

The news means that the event can unfortunately no longer be held at Trinity Park on 8th September as planned so we have decided to postpone the event until 12th May 2021.

What does this mean for you?

  • All existing exhibitor and sponsors bookings will be carried over to the new date.
  • We will be hosting a virtual exhibition on 8th September, similar to the one we held in May. Existing sponsors and exhibitors will be able to take part at no extra cost but there will also be opportunities for anyone that books for the physical event in May 2021.
  • 2021 is the 25th anniversary of the Anglia Business Exhibition so we hope you will be as excited as we are to celebrate this milestone.

Virtual Summit/Exhibition

In May we held an extremely innovative virtual summit and anyone that had booked for ABE2020 by that point was offered the chance to promote their business at this event. The event included live webinars, pre-recorded video talks, digital ‘swag’ and lots of networking.

The day was a huge success and attracted over 150 visitors, many of which stayed at the event for most of the day. Some of the feedback included:

‘A triumph! Well done!’

‘It was definitely a well organised and enjoyable day, connecting with new people and catching up with others. Well done.’

‘A very memorable day and extreme thanks to the Ruth and Merie supported by committee members who put in so much effort to bring a first for a virtual business exhibition and networking for our local business community’

‘Bloody brilliant. Well done for some quality pioneering work - you’ve set the bar very high indeed.’

‘An absolutely superb day. For those that missed it, or did not take part you will have to wait for another time.’

We are very excited to announce that we will be holding a second virtual summit on 8th September 2020 and our existing sponsors and exhibitors will be invited to take part at no extra cost as a thank you for their ongoing support. We will be in touch soon with further information.

Anglia Business Exhibition 2021

ABE2021 will be a very special year for ABE as it is our 25th anniversary. We are currently putting ideas and plans in place so will announce more details as soon as we can.

As mentioned above, all existing bookings will be carried over to the new date.

2020 has been a difficult and challenging year but it has also been a time of creativity and innovation as businesses have worked hard to not only overcome the obstacles but also support the local community and our key workers.

ABE2021 will be an amazing opportunity to come together to celebrate this, re-establish brands, support each other and push forward to boost our local economy.

Thank You

Once again, thank you so much for your ongoing support. We are incredibly grateful and are very proud of our business community. Together we will overcome the difficulties of this year and encourage our mutual success for the future!

If you have any questions or would like to speak to the ABE team, please contact us on and we will be happy to help.
