Our Chair, Caroline Page, delivered a filmed speech at the ISSBA Anglia Business Exhibition, on the need for community in a time of COVID-19 and beyond. Small businesses, like charities, are facing similar difficulties at the moment because of the many pressures of coronavirus. But local small businesses and local charities have a lot in common: we have sprung from the community, we exist within the community, we help with the needs of the community. Caroline's speech was well received and we met lots of local business people during virtual networking sessions. Connections and relationships forged!

Welcome to RACHEL CREYKE!
We put the word out that we needed a Friends of Jetty Lane Secretary. And we found Rachel!

Rachel will help coordinate the Friends of Jetty Lane, driving subscriptions and generally keep an eye on things for us. We are blessed!

“As a qualified secondary and A-Level teacher and a special educational needs and youth volunteer, I am passionate about the prospect of contributing to a long term and valuable investment in the local community. Jetty Lane has exceptional potential to provide such positivity to so many of the residents of Woodbridge and the surrounding areas, and as a local mother of three young children I am keen to help accelerate and maintain revenues that will help realise this venture.” Welcome!

New Volunteer! Not only did we find Rachel we found Alex Downing!

We are very pleased to have Alex join us as a volunteer on our Marketing Committee. Drawing from over 30 years experience as Marketing Director for Colchester Zoo, and also the travel brands Imaginative Traveller and Dragoman, Alex is looking forward in assisting with the strategy and fund raising for Jetty Lane.

"I've lived in Woodbridge for 20 years and have a deep affection for our wonderful town. I am delighted to be able to give my time to be able to help move this wonderful project forward" Welcome!

We have raised £250,000 so far, but we need another £3.5 million. Yes, that's right. It's a lot. Building a thriving community resource and legacy for Woodbridge doesn't come cheap. But, we can do it with your help.

Please also spread the word by telling your friends and contacts about us - or tell us about your contacts and friends. Pennies turn into pounds. If you'd like to donate, please do so HERE
