Do you have HMRC questions relating to your business?

HMRC are kindly offering some free digital support to ISSBA members which may help.

Leading up to 31 January 2017, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) are providing a variety of digital products to support customers who are completing their 2015-16 Self-Assessment tax returns. These include:

  • Self-Assessment help and support live sessions, where customers can listen to live Q&A and submit questions themselves
  • Live webinars on completing the online Self-Assessment return
  • Recorded webinars which can be accessed any time
  • A selection of e-learning packages including topics such as Business Expenses are designed specifically for businesses.

Free E-Learning Packages - HMRC have some fantastic e-learning products for people starting in business. They cover everything you need to know about starting and running a business. You can work through this at your own pace and dip in and out to suit your own needs. Thousands of people starting in business have already used these and found they are a great way of learning.

Webinars - Webinars last less than an hour and you can either choose between a pre-recorded webinar available any time or a live and interactive webinar where you also get the opportunity to ask questions. Click here to see what webinars are available.

In addition to the above, @HMRCbusiness is a Twitter account designed to provide help to businesses. HMRC tweet about their educational products, upcoming tax matters and online guidance. Followers can also ask them general queries via twitter, but they cannot discuss any individual’s specific tax issues.
